Dear Prime Minister,
I would like to have my say on Europe.
Would you please tell why we continue to pay vast amounts of money to the EU which does not account for its spending, supposedly made on our behalf. I have been told that we have treaty obligations that require us to do this.
Any such treaties were not sanctioned the way that our original membership of the Common Market was so why should they be upheld before the British people have an opportunity to sanction them too by way of a referendum.
Until and unless the Chancellor makes accountability a condition of our payments to the EU I will encourage people to hold the Labour and Conservative parties responsible for wasteful spending on EU membership.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Inson
