Now the EU wants to direct UK tax policy

Last week the unelected EU commissioners asked member states to cough up 1.8 billion Euros to find unfinished projects and now they are trying to tell the UK government to raise taxes.
The EU gives no account of the use to which it puts our money and its commissioners are bullies. The best response to bullying is to do exactly the reverse of what is demanded; David Cameron should reduce taxes immediately.
