EU’s demand for an additional contribution

David Cameron had no need to show temper when confronted with the EU’s demand for an additional contribution. He could have smiled sweetly, very sweetly, and said that the money would be forthcoming the minute the EU could account for the monies it had already received. What could be more reasonable than that – it’s what companies and other public bodies are required to do. Arrogance such as the EU’s would land directors in jail. Why should the EU exempt itself from reasonable accounting procedures?
