A fourteen year-old boy with two convictions for sexual assault barricades himself in a classroom with a teacher who becomes his next victim.

Two items from the news during the last few days.

Dogs that become an inconvenience or a nuisance or vicious can be put down? What about human beings who can plan, calculate, lie, threaten, intimidate as well as attack others?

Is it likely that the boy’s parents will be inconvenienced, fined or imprisoned? What about those who made it possible for him to remain free, who failed to warn this teacher? Parents, teachers, police officers, social workers, probation officers, magistrates and judges?
