Brexit Deal – not May’s alone

A deal requires two parties; the other party to May’s Brexit deal is the EU.

Most commentators continue to ignore this fact and speak of the deal, and responsibility for it as the Prime Minister’s alone.

It is not. The deal was constrained as much by what the EU would allow her to put in as by what Mrs May put in.

The EU is as much responsible for the deal as is Mrs May and should share responsibility for it.

Now that this deal has been totally rejected by the UK Parliament the EU must play take a constructive part in re-drafting it if they do not want to drive the UK towards a no-deal Brexit. If they do not then the question arises; how much longer are we going to tolerate involvement with the EU?
