Why don’t A and E staff insist that drunkards wait away from other patients and be called for treatment once they were sober or when the doctors were free.

A neighbour’s daughter once spent six hours waiting in A and E one weekend while drunks were dealt with. Later they sobered up while she lost a baby. We should change our priorities.
